Jack Nicklaus required a new range of clubs designing to compete with their competitors. The range needed a new bold styling away from the company’s previous prestige range to target a younger audience. The designs used a mix of satin and high gloss finishes along with high contrast colours to make the clubs really stand out.
The designs were used for manufacturing prototypes and the 3D renders were used for marketing before sample products were created.
Jack Nicklaus Golf was looking to develop a new range of golf clubs that would stand apart from its existing prestige-focused product lines and appeal to a younger generation of golfers. The new range needed a more contemporary design language that would feel modern, bold and visually distinctive while still maintaining the premium quality associated with the Jack Nicklaus brand.
The challenge was not only to develop a fresh product aesthetic but also to create high-quality visual assets that could support product development, stakeholder approvals and early-stage marketing activity before physical prototypes had been manufactured.
As with many product development projects, waiting for physical samples would have delayed both internal decision-making and promotional planning. The client required a solution that would allow design concepts to be reviewed, refined and presented with confidence throughout the development process.
We created a series of detailed 3D product designs and photorealistic CGI renders for the new golf club range, helping bring the product vision to life long before manufacturing began.
The design direction focused on creating a more dynamic and contemporary appearance, incorporating a combination of satin finishes, high-gloss surfaces and contrasting colour accents to give the clubs a bold visual identity. The CGI process enabled design concepts to be explored and refined quickly while producing realistic marketing imagery that accurately represented the finished products.
The resulting renders provided a valuable bridge between concept development and production, allowing the Jack Nicklaus team to evaluate the product design while simultaneously generating marketing-ready visuals for future campaigns.
Working from the project brief, we explored a range of styling directions aimed at repositioning the product range for a younger audience. Particular attention was given to the overall form, visual balance, surface detailing and finish combinations to ensure the clubs felt both modern and premium.
Detailed digital models of the golf clubs were created, allowing every aspect of the design to be visualised and refined. This digital workflow enabled rapid design iteration while maintaining complete accuracy throughout the development process.
A variety of materials, coatings and finish combinations were tested within the CGI environment. Satin metals, gloss surfaces and high-contrast colour treatments were used to develop a visual identity that differentiated the range from previous product generations.
Photorealistic CGI renders were produced using studio-style lighting and carefully controlled compositions. The imagery was designed to showcase the product design from multiple angles while highlighting key styling features and material details.
The final 3D assets supported both prototype development and marketing preparation. By working from the same digital models, the client was able to streamline the transition from concept to manufacture while generating promotional imagery before production samples became available.
